| What is Muay Thai? |

Muay Thai is Thailand's national sport. The core of Muay Thai is its simplicity and effectiveness in real situations, be it in the ring or on the street. It relies on simple moves and efficient movement to generate maximum power.
Honed over 2000 years, Muay Thai is referred to as the "Art of Eight Limbs" or the "Science Of Eight Limbs" because it makes use of punches, kicks, elbows and knee strikes, thus using eight "points of contact", as opposed to "two points" (fists) in Western boxing and "four points" (hands and feet) used in sport-oriented martial arts. |

| What is the difference between Muay Thai and kickboxing? |

Muay Thai and kickboxing have the same basic techniques, but the styles of the techniques are certainly different. Muay Thai uses a different fighting position and includes certain moves not allowed in kickboxing such as elbows, knees and low kicks. |

| What to wear and what equipment do I need to bring? |

Wear light clothing that you can move freely in (i.e shorts & t-shirt). Boxing gloves, hand wrappings and ankle guards are available to rent if you do not have your own for the trial class. As only limited pairs of boxing gloves are provided and reserved primarily for trial class, members are recommended to bring their own boxing gloves. You can also purchase any equipment, supplies or clothing you may need from our onsite equipment shop. |

| Do I need experience to start? |

No, not at all. We will teach you everything. In fact, our instructors are exceptional with beginners. Our focus is to make sure you practice the proper Muay Thai techniques, particularly at the beginner levels until advanced. |

| Can I try a class before I sign up as a member? |
| |
Yes! In fact, we encourage you to take advantage of our Trial Class! You should definitely test-drive The Legend experience before committing to it. We are confident that you will love it. | Is it safe? |

Yes! At The Legend, our #1 priority is SAFETY. We make it as safe as any other active sport like running, basketball, or tennis. By creating a safe environment and hiring only the best world-class instructors, The Legend is focused on risk minimization. Of course, accidents can happen (just as in any other active sport), but they are quite rare. You will not experience any contact unless you want it AND our instructors approve your request based on your skill level. |

| Can I take private one-on-one lessons with The Legend trainers? |

Yes, absolutely! Typically, you will learn much faster if you take private one-on-one lessons. The trainer of your choice will devise a program to help you meet your needs, at your own time and pace. |

| What about ladies? |

Our MT Max program is designed for both men and ladies together, and some of our most talented students are women. We also have a specifically designed class-MT Fitness for ladies only. If you love Muay Thai or expect to keep fit, come join us at The Legend! |

| What about children? |

Our MT Kids is fantastic and designed for children under age of 15, so you can take your kids to practice Muay Thai with you. At The Legend, we believe that learning Muay Thai is an excellent way to teach your child about self-discipline, achievement, confidence, and self-defense. Our Kids Program is focused on helping your child to develop such life-skills and more.
As this program is designed for children, our trainers surely will use special approaches. Here, Muay Thai is introduced through storytelling, while light training is carried out while adhering to strict safety regulations. |

| Is Muay Thai an effective sport to get fit? |

Most definitely! Muay Thai is not all about the fight. Those graceful kicks and powerful punches can spice up a fitness routine and get you into great shape.
An entire Muay Thai training session combines a warm-up along with flexibility, balance, coordination, stamina and strength workouts. A Muay Thai workout, therefore, can help increase agility, speed, cardiovascular endurance and concentration. It also has some added benefits that it will help with stress relief and self-defense. Almost all techniques in Muay Thai use the entire body: Rotating the hip with each punch, kick and block. The rotation of the hips in Muaythai techniques, and its intensive focus on the "core muscles" - the abdominal and surrounding muscles. Muay Thai also emphasizes physical exercise; it actually incorporates heavy cardio training. Muay Thai doesn't only burn fat, but can also tighten our body and tone our muscles. Muay Thai is more fun because it's much more challenging than my old and monotonous fitness routines at the gym.

| How old do I have to be? |

We don't have any age restrictions. Our members range from teenagers to young professionals to moms and those in their fitness! No one is EVER too young or too old to do Muay Thai. |

| What are the hours of operation? |
| |
We are open 7 days a week! So you can train whenever you feel like it. Mondays through Saturdays, we are open from 10:00am to 10:00pm with classes running throughout the day. On Sundays and public holidays, we are open from 10:00am to 6:00pm. Please also note that we may add more classes and times in the future. |
